Highest form of Respect: Love for the country
War leaves us dozens of scar and pain physically and emotionally, it leaves dead bodies and gun capsules scattered everywhere, civilians and soldiers lost their lives. Araw ng kagitingan is a day where we bow respect for those whom fought for our country, people’s sadness manifest on their faces, as we remember how a life was cruelly lost. Araw ng kagitingan in my view is not a celebration, thus it must be a formal ceremonial as souls were lost during this times. Lives were wasted because of this war, a person who dreamed to hug and kiss their families were buried beneath the ground and would never be back. Gifts and promises to their children were broken, gave the children trauma due to lost of a father. We pray and thank you to the souls who bravely offered their lives to the country, they are the real heroes who did not had the chance to say goodbye...
