Highest form of Respect: Love for the country

Imahe
War leaves us dozens of scar and pain physically and emotionally, it leaves dead bodies and gun capsules scattered everywhere, civilians and soldiers lost their lives.  Araw ng kagitingan is a day where we bow respect for those whom fought for our country, people’s sadness manifest on their faces, as we remember how a life was cruelly lost.                      Araw ng kagitingan in my view is not a celebration, thus it must be a formal ceremonial as souls were lost during this times. Lives were wasted because of this war, a person who dreamed to hug and kiss their families were buried beneath the ground  and would never be back. Gifts and promises to their children were broken, gave the children trauma due to lost of a father. We pray and thank you to the souls who bravely offered their lives to the country, they are the real heroes who did not had the chance to say goodbye...

Lenten Season: A light of Hope

Imahe
Lent is done by Christians and it is when we pay respect to Jesus for his sufferings and his death. During these times, we seek unending love and compassion for God. It is the time when we reflect and surrender everything to our savior Jesus Christ. It is also called our second chance. Because of the death of Christ, we are all saved.                We have committed countless sins in our lives, and we are born to sin. We are in a world drowned in fire confined with devils. Six weeks, once a year, Lenten season is celebrated; we ought to sacrifice this period just to honor God for what he had to sacrifice to save us from totally drowning in fire.                             Many Christians do not mind Lenten season, specifically during these millennial times. We cannot even sacrifice just a day for God because technology has e...

New year celebrations are one of the most exciting moments of our lives that happens once a year, it is where we put ourselves together for what’s to come in the coming year, we tend to make promises for changes in ourselves, but in my experiences it is hard like walking in burning fire barefoot, but with the support and motivation coming from my wrong doings, their the one who makes me firm to continue and make myself a lot better. New year means new life, in the new year we tend to change ourselves by commonly correcting the mistakes we have done in the past year, we tend to improve in any way we could and anything we want. Letting go of our past is the hardest and biggest step for us to make a change in the upcoming year, looking at our past makes us remember how miserable life is and it is not helpful in improving and making ourselves a better one, mistakes from the past should hardly be forgotten because their the one who holds our wings when we want to soar up high.
