  Hero ways, zero waste. This advocacy campaign focuses on ways how to regulate a healthy and zero waste environment. In fact, it is a very powerful idea, encouraging people to make a big step in eliminating waste in their surroundings. There are many simple ways to maintain cleanliness in our surroundings.   There are plenty of programs implemented for the environment, specifically proper waste management. The 5R’s: Reduce, Reuse, Recycle, Repurpose, Refuse have been successful and effective through the years. Abel Iloco is one of the most prestigious treasures and a pride of every Ilocano. In the first week of May, we celebrate Binatbatan Festival to keep and continuously preserve the weaving culture mainly in the heart if Ilocos Sur, Vigan City. The word binatbatan came from the word batbat in Ilocano which is taken from the first step in making abel wherein the kapas or cotton balls from the tree were removed from the seed using bamboo sticks. Also, batbat also has an important role to folk dance, because a Philippine Folk dance was created that was inspired by it and made it as the main feature of the festival.
